Searching for hot new musical talent for YO!Fest 2014

18/03/2014

The European Youth Forum, along with Jeunesses Musicales International (JMI), has launched its YO!Fest 2014 Emerging Bands Contest, which is now open to all European bands with musicians between the ages of 16 and 25.

Those entering the contest stand the chance to open for Puggy, La Fanfare en Pétard, DJ Falcon and Riva Starr in Strasbourg at YO!Fest 2014, which runs from the 9th to the 11th of May 2014.

YO!Fest, now in its 5th edition, is the annual youth festival organised by the European Youth Forum, that combines politics, debates and workshops with live music and a variety of artistic performances, creating the perfect mix for an enjoyable and meaningful experience. This year it is even bigger and better than before, as an integral part of the European Youth Event, organised with the European Parliament, which will see 5,000-8,000 young people gather to discuss “ideas for a better Europe”.

There are four gig spots up for grabs, two main stage gigs in front of thousands of people in the heart of Europe and two gigs in the YO!Village during the day. Bands must submit their entries by 13th April via the official YO!Fest Emerging Bands Contest website and will be notified by the 18th April whether they will be going to Strasbourg or not.

The YO!Fest Emerging Bands Contest is a partnership between the European Youth Forum and Jeunesses Musicales International in the framework of European Youth Event with the support of the City of Strasbourg.

To enter the competition and for more info visit the official YO!Fest EBC website: www.yofestebc.eu
