The League of Young Voters, in partnership with Generation Europe Foundation, has today launched “Make Your Choice,” an interactive web experience about the upcoming European Elections.

According to the latest League of Young Voters report “Addressing Youth Absenteeism in the European Elections,” only 29 percent of young people between the ages of 18-24 voted in the 2009 European elections. Make Your Choice aims to change that by engaging those young people through an animated and interactive guide to the European political process and how to vote in the European elections.

Make Your Choice begins by asking users to enter their name, age and member state and create an avatar to use throughout the self-guided tour of the upcoming European elections. Using this information, the Make Your Choice experience is personalized for each user and offers relevant information about polling locations, dates of the elections, registration information and a list of local MEP candidates and parties.

Aimed at engaging an often-overlooked generation, Make Your Choice is made specifically with young people in mind and presents the European political process in a simple, clear way to show users how important their voice is in this year’s elections.

Make Your Choice is now live and can be found at: http://www.makeyourchoice.eu/.
