Are you an emerging musician or band looking to up your game? Are you looking for a platform to get your music heard? YO!Fest is once again organising it’s Emerging Bands Contest; giving 3 lucky bands the chance to share their unique sounds with thousands of young people in Strasbourg.

This year we are celebrating the 10th edition of YO!Fest with a special edition of the festival in Strasbourg (France) from 1-2 June in conjunction with the European Youth Event (EYE). We’ve partnered up again with Europe’s largest youth-music network, JM International, to bring our festival goers new music and innovative sounds from around Europe.

Our jury, made of music industry professionals, will select 4 winners (3 bands + 1 DJ) to perform in front of thousands of young people and open for the international headliner of YO!Fest @ the EYE2018. We’re looking for Europe’s next big act to open for some of the leading names in music today! Previous headliners include Massilia Sound System, Puggy, Alpha Blondy, I'm From Barcelona, Babylon Circus, Hot Chip and Ojos de Brujo.

The competition is open to musicians between the age of 18 and 30 whose music is accessible to a diverse audience. The Emerging Bands Contest is aimed at bands with up to 8 members who all must be residents from the EU28, EFTA or candidate countries.

Bands must submit their entries online by the 18th of March and will be notified by the beginning of April whether they will have the chance to play at YO!Fest. To enter the competition and for more info visit the official Yo!Fest website: www.yofest.eu or the EBC 2018 website: www.yofestebc.eu
